Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: This is a crazy world

I discuss rocketing unemployment – and we ain’t seen nothing yet, shares making higher ground and folks paying to lend money to the Government. It is all insane yet, on balance, I remain a bull of shares. Then I look at how nothing has changed with regard to executive greed citing three examples I have covered elsewhere today. There is a fourth which makes what I outline today seem like a nothing issue. It is linked to shameless stock promotion and I will expose it all at the weekend in a new premium, i.e. we charge 99p, podcast to replace Shareprophets Radio. Media models based on advertising and sponsorship are, in my view, dead. I think 99p for a 2 hour video & audiocast is a fair price but what do I know? Finally, we are now at 20% of our target at Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. Help us get to 23% by tomorrow, please donate HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Margaret Hodge MP caught with her trousers down: Offshore dealings, deramping & stock promotion

I start with the latest offshore revelations from the Paradise Papers. Tune into BBC 1 tonight at 9 for more fun. I delight in Margaret Hodge the Labour MP being exposed as an A grade hypocrite on this matter and then point out how it is impossible to stop folks going offshore - the answer is not to deter them with punitive UK tax. I look at Concepta (CPT) - which we own - after today's statement, Purplebricks (PURP)  and shamed FinnCap's latest tech disaster Intercede (IGP) where its certainly placing ahoy. Then I cover the issues of ramping, de-ramping and stock promotion.

Who would be your dream ramping team on the AIM casino for Ramptastic PLC?

In the long run a share price will reflect the NPV of future cashflows of a given company. In the short term it can go anywhere. Stocks can whizz higher purely based on aggressive stock promotion, .e ramping. So who would your ramping dream team be? As I sit having a coffee waiting for my car to get an MOT I have put together my own starting five.

All we need is a team of Andy Wings, a team of Andy Wings, sing the crowds at Oxford United and one is tempted to say that “All we need is a team of Lenigas, a team of Lenigas” but that would be to spoil the fun. None the less as Executive chairman, it is a slam dunk for David “I meant to say 2D” Lenigas.
